Quality Builds Smooth Roads — Product Quality Supervision Sampling Conducted on the Zhaojin Line Sunjiawan Pavement Marking Repair and Maintenance Project

Roads are the arteries of a city, and pavement markings are the “language” of the road. As a key regional transportation corridor, the quality of the marking repair and maintenance work on the Zhaojin Line directly affects the travel experience of local residents and logistics efficiency. On October 14, 2026, to strengthen quality control of the Sunjiawan marking repair and maintenance project on the Zhaojin Line and to ensure marking-material quality at the source, an on-site product quality supervision sampling operation was organized, with rigorous testing to build a solid line of defense for project quality. This product quality supervision sampling was jointly carried out by a third-party testing agency and the project supervision party, following fair, standardized and rigorous sampling procedures to ensure the representativeness of the samples and the authenticity and validity of the test results.

Quality supervision is the “lifeline” of pavement marking construction. Through independent third-party testing, we have broken the traditional “self-praise” model and built a triple quality firewall of “self-inspection by the contractor, re-inspection by the supervisor, and sampling inspection by a third party.” This open, transparent and scientific testing mechanism ensures that every bag of marking material on the road can withstand the test of time and shine its brightest in the darkest night, guiding the vehicles that pass by.

At the sampling site, workers dressed in orange reflective work uniforms carried out their tasks in an orderly manner. The reflective and profiled materials were packaged and weighed one by one and then neatly stacked upon completion; technicians affixed “seal” labels and stamps in sequence onto the sealed samples, completing sample sealing, with full traceability throughout the process to strictly ensure that the samples are traceable and the test data are authentic and reliable. As core materials for road markings, their quality is directly related to driving safety. This sampling inspection focused on key indicators such as retroreflective performance and weather resistance.

Currently, all samples have been sent for testing, and the results will be made public in the near future. The project manager stated that the team will take this sampling as an opportunity to continuously strengthen full-process quality control and spare no effort to ensure that the Sunjiawan section of the Zhaojin Line opens to traffic soon with high quality, safeguarding the safety of residents’ travel.
